Goodbye

A boy went to the airport with his family. He saw his brother standing by his friends for the last time. Soon everyone knew it was time, and they had to let go.

As he(the boy's brother) spoke his last words face to face to everyone that was there, they all shed their tears to him.

As he walked through the gates, everyone wished him the best as he left. He then made way to the departure hall to wait for his plane that was due in an hour. The pieces that the boy's brother played on the piano ran through his mind at that time. Tears began running down his cheeks.

The boy asked,"Can we go to the waving gallery?"

The mother said in tears,"The plane isn't visible from there son. I'm sorry." Heartbroken, the boy shed his tears as his brother walked out of sight.

A month later, the boy went to the hospital in the evening to visit his recovering grandfather. The grandfather seemed to be showing improvements that moment...there they talked with each other for the last time.

Early in the next morning, the boy and the family rushed to the hospital after receiving news that his grandfather was in a critical condition. The boy's was torn to see the grandfather in that condition even though it the condition was painless.

After seeing his grandfather, he knew he couldn't do anything in that moment for him so he went to school. After returning school, the boy was told that his grandfather had passed away. For a moment, the world came to an abrupt stop.

At the funeral, he cried as he saw his grandfather for the last time. He knew he couldn't dealt with all the grief alone. He was like a leaf tossed around in a storm. He felt hopeless.

The boy then realized that his grandfather had only two grandsons and the boy was one of them. As he remembered songs his grandfather played on the piano, he then remembered the unfulfilled request that his grandfather made to him. "Can you play your guitar along with me?" said the boy's grandfather long ago.

In tears, he prayed in his heart,"Lord, I know You have Your reasons for all things that happen. I cast all my sorrow to You. I place my torn heart in Your hands, Lord. I am wounded and tired. Heal me Lord. I place my faith in You. Grant me understanding."

The boy then continued living on his life, knowing only that time can heal him. But one thing that still remain in him was the memory of the two greatest pianists in his life.

I saw my name and freaked out a little, but then I remembered that there's another Jan and calmed down. xD

I'm so sorry, Brandon. I hope you're okay. I can't possibly imagine what it feels like, so I can't say anything. I'm sorry. *hugs*

Your faith, though. It touched me.
