Can't believe 2013 is finally here! Sometimes we wish time would pass faster, and other times, we wish time would slow down or stop for us. For me, 2012 was a year that I wished time should've passed faster. Not saying I had a horrible year, but it was a very challenging year for me, and I find myself being very dutiful to my responsibilities and weighed down with a lot of negativity for a lot of the time during the year. That being said, I've had my fair share of rest and enjoyment during the year as well, but it certainly feels like it wasn't quite enough! But at least things during last 2 months made up for it :)
Over the 2 few months, I've:
- Caught up with old and new friends :)
- Had Halo and COD sessions with my mates
- Visited the Botanical Gardens with the PJ crew
- Visited Sandringham beach with the PJ crew
- Picked up minecraft (that was before my exams, which was the worst idea ever... but nevertheless I don't regret it! :P)
- Picked up more shifts
- Finished Assassins Creed III and Halo 4
- Fixed my guitar
- Had a family trip to Gold Coast (I didn't go to any of the themeparks lol)
- Attended to several birthday parties/social gatherings
- Celebrated the new year with church friends
Oh, and I finally got around to watching a couple of movies - Wreck it Ralph and Life of Pi. They were both awesome :D I found Wreck it Ralph more enjoyable since it was lighthearted and it had so many old-school video game easter eggs in it. Yes, I'm a nerd so I was delighted at those little things that pop up during the movie e.g. the Konami code :P However, Life of Pi was very fulfilling to watch as it had a fantastic storyline (it's called an international bestseller for a reason haha) and the film was executed very well. I haven't personally read the book yet but I felt the story was conveyed really well and the CGI scenes at some points were quite magical :) enough with my analytical blah for now haha. It was good. The end.
Next to watch on my movie list would be Les Miserables. I've learnt how to appreciate musicals since that was the way I was raised, so I guess that's why I have an urge in me to watch it.
I've probably left out a few things that happened in the past few months, but oh well. I'll write about it when I remember it one day. As of now, I just look forward to many more pleasant memories 2013 will bring me :)
Happy New Year and have a blessed year ahead :)
